Reporting Accountant
Mohawk Industries, a

corporate headquarters.
The Technical Financial Reporting
Accountant plays a vital role in addressing accounting and
financial reporting issues by providing technical accounting advice and
strategic guidance. This position partners in compiling, verifying and preparing
for review accounting and financial reports and statements for internal and
external purposes, e.g., earning releases, 10-K, 10-Q's, etc. Executes solutions
related to established and newly issued accounting pronouncements, in relation
to FASB positions and processes and their impact on the company. Responsible for
preparing accounting position memos and related analyses and communicating the
impacts to management. Provides technical accounting support during monthly /
quarterly close processes, handles other special projects.
An undergraduate degree in
accounting, finance or a related discipline and CPA required. The position
requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
with a mix between public accounting and industry experience and a minimum of
two years experience in a supervisory role. Knowledge of GAAP and auditing
practices and principles, laws, codes, regulations, etc., required.
Successful candidates will work well independently or as a part of a team. They
will demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment and resourcefulness and
should possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to set priorities and
handle multiple tasks with speed and accuracy. The ability to research and
compile information to create reports is very important, as is communicating
with colleagues in a professional but genial manner. This is a team-oriented

essential, as is the ability to work with minimal supervision. Success is a
