Accounting Manager III
Mohawk Industries, a multinational

workplace, seeks a talented finance professional in its Calhoun corporate
headquarters.
The Accounting Manager plays a vital
role in managing various divisional accounting functions as well as the tax
department, internal and external audit. This position manages the monthly
forecast preparation and close processes in addition to providing guidance to
junior team members of the corporate accounting team. Additional duties include
executing solutions related to improving accounting processes, assuming
responsibility for the more complex general ledger accounts, facilitating
quarterly and annual audits, managing SOX activities for Corporate Accounting,
leading the company-wide process of streamlining the account reconciliation
process, and identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies.
An undergraduate degree in
accounting, finance or a related discipline and CPA are required; MBA preferred.
The position requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience in
accounting or finance with a mix between public accounting and industry
experience and a minimum of two years experience in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of GAAP and auditing practices and principles, laws, codes,
regulations, etc. required.
Successful candidates will work well independently or as a part of a team. They
will demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment and resourcefulness and
should possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to set priorities and
handle multiple tasks with speed and accuracy. The ability to research and
compile information to create reports is very important, as is communicating
with colleagues in a professional but genial manner. This is a team-oriented
office where respect and appreciation are core values. Confidentiality is
essential, as is the ability to work with minimal supervision. Success is a

together.
