Capital Dynamics is a recognized industry leader in responsible investment, receiving top marks (Five Stars) from PRI across all categories and investment strategies, as well as in GRESB benchmarking for its clean energy strategy.
CLIENT RELATIONS:
Client Relations is the connective tissue between Capital Dynamics and its more than 1,500 global investors. As the one consistent point of contact throughout each relationship, the team doesn't just service accounts — it represents Capital Dynamics as a whole. It's one of the firm's few genuinely externally-facing functions, working cross-functionally across the entire organisation to engage and strengthen relationships with our investors, consultants and advisors.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're seeking an experienced client servicing professional to support Capital Dynamics' U.S. investor base as Senior Associate, Client Relations, reporting to our Vice President of Client Relations.
This is a pivotal, trust-critical role: you'll be a principal touchpoint for sophisticated institutional and private wealth investors, shaping how they experience Capital Dynamics at every stage of the relationship, from closing through to ongoing servicing.
You'll combine genuine relationship management skills with deep technical fluency in private equity and client relationship management — guiding investors through onboarding and periodic reviews, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and fund administrators, and ensuring every interaction reflects the calibre investors expect from a firm of our standing.
This role is not suited to a general client-servicing background. Candidates must bring direct client relationship management experience gained specifically within private equity or asset management — for example, at a private equity firm, family office or wealth management firm, in a genuinely external-facing capacity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investor Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for U.S.-based investors during the closing and post-close processes, handling inquiries and requests with professionalism and speed.
- Manage post-fundraising communication and reporting to clients and the Sales team, keeping every touchpoint timely and well organised.
- Manage inbound and outbound investor communications by email and phone across U.S. Eastern and Pacific business hours.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, underpinned by excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
- Provide clients with updates on fund performance, regulatory developments and other relevant information to strengthen trust and engagement.
- Manage the client portal to ensure timely, accurate information and a seamless investor experience.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and communications in internal systems.
- Guide investors globally through the AML/KYC onboarding process, working closely with Legal, Compliance and fund administrator teams to meet fund jurisdiction requirements.
- Collaborate closely with fund administrators, tax preparers and auditors to manage required deliverables and resolve client queries in their areas.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Experience & Background
- 6+ years' relevant experience in client services, investor relations, finance, or legal/compliance operations.
- Direct experience at a private equity firm, fund administrator, family office or wealth management firm, in an external-facing capacity.
- General knowledge of private equity operations and terminology.
- Strong knowledge of anti-money laundering and control procedures, GDPR requirements, and partnership subscription and transfer agreements.
- Highly developed interpersonal, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills — comfortable speaking with investors at all levels of seniority.
Education & Qualifications
- Exceptional academic qualifications, preferably in Legal, Finance, Economics or Business.
- A Master's degree or MBA is preferred; additional credentials such as CFA, CAIA or CPA are a bonus.
Compensation:
Base Salary - USD 125,000 - 150,000 plus bonus
