Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of the Firmwide Risk Models Validation team, providing independent quantitative challenge to key Pillar 2 Stress Testing, Economic Capital, and Climate Risk models that inform firmwide risk decisions. The role offers exposure to high‑impact firmwide models, alongside close collaboration with global stakeholders across the organization.
The team
You will work within the Model Risk Management & Control function of the Group Chief Risk Officer organization, as part of the Firmwide Risk Models Validation team. Our role is to understand, assess, and challenge the risks associated with the use of models across the firm.
Your skills and experience
The role requires a strong foundation in statistics, information technology, and risk modeling, with an emphasis on stress testing, climate risk, and statistical economic capital models. While relevant experience is valued, we place equal importance on your motivation and willingness to continuously develop your skills and knowledge.
-master’s or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, or economics
-practical experience in the development or validation of statistical or mathematical models
-strong capabilities in data preparation and analysis, including computational statistics
-proficiency in programming languages such as R and/or Python
-excellent written communication skills and a structured, detail-oriented working style
-ability to clearly communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences
-proactive mindset with the ambition to build a strong professional presence within the team and across the firm
-collaborative approach with the ability to provide constructive and respectful challenge
-you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
