At Reading Cooperative Bank, we are more than a financial institution—we are a mutual cooperative bank dedicated to strengthening Main Street and supporting the communities we proudly serve. Rooted in a tradition of trust, collaboration, and local impact, we work every day to empower individuals, families, and small businesses to thrive. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference and building relationships that matter, we invite you to explore a career with us.
We are seeking for a Commercial Portfolio Manager to join our commercial lending team. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be part of the team, not off to the side of it. You will manage your own portfolio of commercial relationships, help our lenders underwrite and structure new loans and renewals, and spend real time in front of clients, including joining lenders on calls and site visits.
The right person has solid credit training, good judgment, and enjoys both the analysis and the people side of the business. This role offers meaningful exposure across CRE, C&I, construction, and small business lending, and a clear path toward a Commercial Lender role for those who want it.

•Conduct property inspections (as needed) and coordinate construction loan advances on assigned credits.
•Report regularly on portfolio status to the Team Leader.

•Analyze and underwrite new loan requests and renewals: cash flow, collateral, spreads, guarantor strength, and market analysis.
•Assist lenders in preparing pre-deals, loan memorandums, and credit presentations for approval.
•Discuss deal structure, cash flow, collateral, and borrower character with lenders; recommend alternative structures or products where appropriate.
•Determine whether requests comply with RCB credit policy and clearly identify exceptions and mitigants.
•Work with attorneys, CPAs, appraisers, and other professionals to support underwriting and closing.
•Handle smaller commercial and small business requests directly, from application through closing, up to $250,000 through streamline process.
Client Engagement
•Accompany lenders (as needed) on prospect and client calls; interact with clients regularly in person and by phone.
•Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients on loan, deposit, and Treasury Management needs.
•Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and refer deposit, Treasury Management, and other bank products.
Other
•Assist with loan review and examination requests, including coordinating responses and tracking remediation items.

•Team player who is dependable, professional, and wants to help the team win.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with spreading software a plus.
•Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
