Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Manager to join our Asset Management Team under the supervision of the Senior Asset Manager. This role is responsible for reviewing rent adjustments for accuracy, and assisting co-workers as needed. The Asset Manager processes HAP contract renewals, contract termination requests, and rent adjustments (OCAF, Budget-Based, RCS) while ensuring compliance with both program and corporate requirements. This position holds accountability for meeting all performance benchmarks, securing 100% of administrative fees, and maintaining strong relationships with owners/agents, HUD staff, and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Asset Manager manages an assigned portfolio of properties, ensures accurate data entry, monitors workflow to meet deadlines, and prepares monthly invoice documentation. Responsibilities also include maintaining compliance with Section 8 program guidelines, conducting quality control audits for rent adjustments, executing rent schedules, and ensuring timely processing of contract renewals, terminations, and rent adjustments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of HUD Section 8 Renewal Policy Guidebook requirements and 4-6 years of relevant experience in Section 8 Renewal Policy Guidebook regulations. Professional industry designations, and a bachelor’s degree are preferred but not required. This role requires excellent analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment, all while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in every aspect of program administration.
